42nd Annual Olde York Street Fair

May 8, 2017

The 42nd annual Olde York Street Fair will be held in downtown York, in and around Continental Square, on Sunday, May 14, 2017, from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. All are invited to attend this free event.

Approximately 100 arts and craft vendors will feature handmade gift items for sale. Food vendors will sell traditional American festival food as well as original creations.Ā All food vendors must be partnered with a non-profit organization and agree to donate a portion of their sales to that partner.

A Kids Fun Block will feature a variety of inflatables, games, face painting, and other entertainment. Ticket sales for the inflatables in the Kids Fun Block will support York City Special Events. Entomologist Ryan Bridge (The Bug Man) will again have his vast collection on display for kids of all ages to see and touch!

Four stages near Continental Square will feature live entertainment in a variety of genres, and strolling entertainers will delight festival-goers. Sincere thanks to our stage sponsors, Members 1stĀ Federal Credit Union and WellSpan.

Positive Energy Arts Foundation and York County Libraries are again teaming up to present ā€œDance Streetā€ in the first block of North George Street, featuring Illstyle & Peace Productions plus many others throughout the entire day. Follow #DanceStreetYork on social media for details.

Several ā€œrest stop seatingā€ areas will be located throughout the Street Fair, thanks to the Hahn Home Fund at the York County Community Foundation (Embracing Aging Initiative). Look for signage throughout the event designating these areas.

HACC York Campus will again provide free parking, and a shuttle bus will transport attendees to and from the street fair. Look for signs in lots 902 and 903 behind the Leader building on the HACC campus (2010 Pennsylvania Avenue York, PA 17404). The first bus will leave the campus at 12 noon and will travel back and forth continuously all day; the last bus will leave the street fair at 6:00 p.m. Sincere thanks to Green Mountain Energy for sponsoring this service.

The York County Heritage Trustā€™s Colonial Complex will also be openĀ during the Olde York Street Fair. Discover the history of the buildingā€™s construction during the nationā€™s bicentennial (1976) and Yorkā€™s important place in Americaā€™s Revolutionary period through temporary displays.
