On Saturday, April 29, the YMCA of York and York County will host YMCA’s Healthy Kids Day®, an annual, national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. The event, full of fun and activities, is free for all families in the southcentral Pennsylvania region.
Across the four branches in York County, kids will partake in games, healthy cooking demonstrations, arts and crafts and more. YMCA of York and York County families and children will participate in a ton of fun-filled physical activities to motivate and teach families how to develop a health routine at home.
“At the Y, we believe charged up kids really do achieve amazing things, and there are no days off for a child’s developing mind and body” said Larry Richardson, YMCA of York and York County CEO. “Through our strong presence and reach with children during summer months, the Healthy Kids Day platform is a great opportunity to educate families and engage kids to stay physically and intellectually active over the summer.”
Each of the four branches’ festivities for Healthy Kids Day will showcase the YMCA’s wide array of programming for the whole family.
